Card show goodies part 5: An original Mickey Mantle for 50 cents!

I was surprised to see that one of the high end dealers who's items I normally don't look at due to the prices, actually had a small discount box this time. It was small box containing 1960-73 baseball with a sign saying that everything inside was $1.00 each or 10 for $5. So I ended up picking out 20 since I don't know if some of the stuff in there was even a good deal for 50 cents. I thought it was funny though that when the dealer was briefly talking to me as I was looking through the box, he was giving off the impression that everything in there wasn't even worth "bothering" with. Here are a little over half of what I thought were worth "bothering" with:

Check out the condition on this 1963 fleer Albie Pearson.

Most of the box was '63 Topps:

I really like my Choo Choo rookie:

It's not everyday you find a NBA Hall of Famer's baseball rookie this cheap:

And finally the tie-in to the post title:

I know it's a team card, but in my mind it still counts as a Mickey Mantle card. Although it has been well loved, there are surprisingly no creases. Hopefully you didn't find the title to misleading.

  1. In my opinion, well loved cards are the best. And that Yankees card definitely counts, nice pickups.
