Another batch of Topps Heritage Real One Autographs

Today's post features another group of cards that were found while cleaning and sorting all of my old picture/scan folders.

After this batch, I have three more posts to go before I'm completely caught up with all my COMC purchases from last year that I never got around to showing thanks to my lack of blogging throughout the early to mid part of this year... which is a good thing, since I will have all of this year's COMC stockpile arriving within the next couple of weeks, and that will surely be providing at least a couple of months worth of posts.

As you may have deduced from the title, this will be an all Topps Heritage Real One Autograph edition, which is the second time I have been fortunate enough to do so. For anyone who missed the first one, you can check it out by clicking here.

Even though their out of order in the post, I've got autos from 2012, 2013, and 2015 represented in here:

Jerry has the unique distinction of having the lowest batting average (.213) of any player since 1920 with at least 2000 at-bats.

The only card in this post not gotten from COMC, Joe came courtesy of a Sportlots auction earlier this year.

Tracy is best remembered as the pitcher who gave up Roger Maris' record breaking 61st home run in 1961.

Throughout his seven seasons played in the Majors, Dick seemingly never could get any run support, which really skewed his lifetime record of 46-54. His best season came in 1963, when he went 15-15 in 33 starts, throwing 15 complete games and three shutouts with a 3.25 ERA.

Acquired by Houston over a year before their first game, Jim was one of the original Colt .45s.

Having been acquired through the 1962 expansion draft, Bob was also one of the original Colt .45s.

With him being the only athlete to ever win an NBA championship -- or rather three championships (Celtics 1959-61) -- and a World Series (Braves 1957), Gene is a guy that I had long wanted an autograph of, so I was more than happy to do so by picking this one up for a little under $8.

There should have been one more card in this post, that being Ken Retzer from the 2014 edition -- but someone at COMC had to go and misplace/steal(?) it -- and then their public relations person that answers all the emails tried to accuse me of being some kind of dunderhead that can't take cards out of a box without losing them immediately afterwards.

It was terribly frustrating at the time, but they did eventually credit my account with the cost of the card, which was nice of course, but I will probably never be able to find another copy for as cheap as I had gotten that one... and I really did (and still do) want that card!
