COMC Sundays: 2014 Topps Pro Debut Hat Patch

Originally I had a much longer post (with much more interesting cards) planned for today, but it ended up not getting written, as I wasn't really in the mood to do anything blog related for most of this past week... so you're going to get a lazy one card post instead:

I think I got this one during last year's Spring Sale, because I completely forgot to look for any of these hat patches during the Black Friday sale (or the pre-Black Friday sale).

I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about young Mr. Trahan, but a quick Google search tells me that he was taken with the 26th pick in the 2012 draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He has yet to make his big league debut, but he's only 24, so he's still got plenty of time.

Looking ahead to next week: I might be going to the card show on Saturday, so next Sunday might be another one card post... maybe a 1954 Topps World on Wheels?

Thanks for taking a moment to look at my page.

    1. That's how I look at most of these hat patch cards, I don't know who the majority of them are, but I really like the patches.

  2. Stryker! Watched him play A ball in South Bend, then my girlfriend got him to sign a baseball for me when he was in high A Lake Elsinore. Sweet card!

    1. Thank you for adding a more personal touch to what was a fairly bland post :)

  3. I picked up a minor league relic (part of a ticket stub) card this weekend at a card show. Had no idea what it was... but it looked cool for a buck.

    1. One doesn't always need to know what something is to enjoy it! Hopefully we'll be seeing the results of this card show sometime soon :)

  4. That's a neat patch, I'll have to look for a minor league logo relic of a CT or NJ team. I picked up a Stryker card or two when I was prospecting a few years ago (mostly because "Stryker" is a badass name) I thought he had flamed out as a prospect but it sounds like he's still hanging on.

    1. I think there's a few out there for CT and NJ teams. Thank goodness that I'm not very good at figuring out who's going to be the next big thing, so I never had to try the whole prospecting thing.
