I had to do it

(Editors note: I have no idea why the text changed color in this post. I didn't do it and for whatever reason it won't let me fix it. So since I'm not going to rewrite this whole thing, you will just have to bear with me).

As tiring as the card show last Saturday was, I had to go and attend another one today. This was the first time I had gone to one of the shows in Murfreesboro, which is about 35 southeast of Nashville, so it was only 1 hour and 28 minutes in each direction from me.

This show is by a different promoter than the Nashville show and is quite a bit smaller. The only reason I went to this one is that the guy I got all the cards from in the box I showed last week (I will start scanning them very soon) was going to be at this show and since he is moving out of state, his setting up at future shows will be much more limited.

I have known about these shows since moving here, but had not been too interested in attending do to some bad reviews online. It is interesting to now know that this venue holds a show on the first and third Saturday of each month while the larger show in Nashville is on the second and fourth Saturday. So in theory people in the area could go to a show every weekend if they were inclined to do so. I couldn't do these drives every weekend though, even if I wanted to.

Just in case I didn't have enough cards to sort already, here is a not so great picture of today's bounty:

And yesterday the first of my COMC packages arrived (the other one came today but I didn't take any pictures):

I know this is my second post in a week saying that there will be plenty to come, which I'm sure is annoying to read but hopefully it will be the last time I do so (at least for a while anyway).

  1. Looks like a great haul. I see a lot of 1990s insert goodness there!

  2. I made one of those 1 hour-plus drives to another show in my area once here in Atlanta. It was a long way to go for not a lot in return.

That said, it looks like you've got a great bunch of cards there. Finding 1990s inserts at my local shows is nearly impossible!
