TTM Triumph #30: Louie Dampier

This week saw the return of my longest outstanding request so far. After 11 months I got my card back, signed of course, from the ABA's all-time leader in points -- Louie Dampier:

Along with being the all-time points leader, Louie Dampier was also the ABA's all-time leader in games played, minutes played, and assists. He was also only one of two players, to play all nine years of the ABA's existence (Byron Beck being the other). A seven time all-star, Mr. Dampier was a member of the Colonels 1975 championship winning squad. In 2015, he was inducted into the Naismith hall of fame.

As always, I would like to send a big thank you out to Mr. Dampier.

Thanks for taking a moment to look at my page.

  1. Very cool! You can tell he takes his time when writing his signature instead of just blasting through to get it done.

    1. Players from previous generations usually take pride in their signatures. You are not going to see too many squiggly lines or initials from pre 90's athletes.

  2. Great acquisition. Truly an ABA legend

    1. Indeed he is. The sad thing is that he never gets mentioned in conversations of ABA greats.

    2. You can get a glimpse of him playing for Kentucky in college in the replay of the 66 Texas El Paso vs Kentucky final. I caught it on tv but there must be a YouTube clip as well

    3. I saw that game on ESPN classic about ten years ago. I just wish I would have recorded it, because I don't think they show it anymore and it's not available to watch in it's entirety anywhere online.
